Our church family welcomes you, and we are sure that you have plenty of questions. Here are a few FAQs to help you, but feel free to contact us if you have additional questions.
- What is worship like?
- We gather for worship at 10am in-person and online. Worship is family-friendly, with traditional elements and new expressions of faith.
- Is there a dress code?
- At Batavia Faith we take "come as you are" to heart. You will find people in suits and Sunday dresses, jeans and Tshirts, and shorts and tank tops. We are much less concerned with what you wear than the fact that you have joined us in worship.
- Are children welcome?
- Of course! The more the merrier! We have a children's moment during the service. After, children may choose to either stay in worship or go to our Faith KIDS class with our loving teachers. On 5th Sundays of the month, we have Kids Sunday. This worship service is geared towards our youth and is very laid back. You just never know what might happen!
- What if I come late?
- No matter when you arrive, we are simply glad that you decided to join us! For security purposes, all exterior doors are locked 15 minutes after the worship service has begun. Should you arrive after that time, please ring the doorbell and one of our safety team members will assist you. They will show you around and even get you a cup of coffee (yes, you can bring it into the sanctuary!)
- What if I have accessibility needs?
- We have an elevator that is accessible from the parking lot that goes up to the Sanctuary as well as down to the Fellowship Hall. The lift is large enough for one person in a wheelchair or using a walker plus an assistant. If you would like help with the elevator or experience any issues, please ring the doorbell and a member of our safety team will be with you shortly.
- May I take communion on my first visit?
- Yes! If you join us on a communion Sunday, we invite you to celebrate the Lord's Supper with us (even from home). We invite the children to participate in communion as well. All are welcome at the Lord's Table!
